The agricultural cooperative Popudinské Močidlany traditionally began the celebration with a thanksgiving mass at the Church of St. Simon and Jude, where the parish priest blessed the harvest brought to him in baskets by children in traditional folk costumes. Of course, the symbol of the harvest festival – the harvest wreath – was also present.

In the afternoon, the celebration moved to the cooperative’s premises and the adjacent sports area. As usual, a horse-drawn carriage was available to take visitors around the cooperative’s grounds, which have undergone significant changes in recent years. Agricultural machinery – combines, tractors, and seeders – was also on display for children accompanied by their parents.

The main entertainment of the harvest festival took place on the field of the local football club, where refreshments and fun activities were prepared. Hunters prepared venison and beef goulash, the local senior citizens’ club baked cakes, and local gardeners organized a wine tasting.

Various competitions with small prizes were prepared for children, as well as a demonstration of firefighting equipment, including a foam cannon. Children could also take a ride on the pink train – a mower as a locomotive pulling barrels as carriages.

Throughout the day, visitors were entertained by the musical group Záhorácki Heligonkári.
